Spiced Apple Cider Doughnut RecipeHave you ever made a homemade doughnut? Donuts are pretty simple to make, but Dianne’s recipe is even better – her donuts are easy to make and are actually healthier for you than the ones you get at the store.

Just think of having one of these in the morning with your coffee (or tea!) – doesn’t that sound delicious? Besides, with this recipe, you don’t have to use apple cider for topping, you can use anything else you like – chocolate, sprinkles, or even chocolate with sprinkles! Let your imagination run wild, and customize your doughnut with whatever topping you like.

Here is what you’ll need:

♨ 3½ cups Whole Wheat Pastry Flour
♨ 1 cup Maple Sugar or Brown Sugar
♨ 2 tsp Baking Powder
♨ 1 tsp Baking Soda
♨ ½ tsp Ground Cinnamon
♨ ¼ tsp freshly Ground Nutmeg
♨ ½ tsp Salt
♨ 2 tbsp Unsalted Butter, cold
♨ ½ cup Buttermilk
♨ 2 large Eggs
♨ 1 tsp Pure Vanilla Extract

♨ Coconut Oil for deep-frying


♨ 1 cup Apple Cider
